Interview with BuildingLink’s: Tash, Training & Customer Service Representative

At BuildingLink, we truly put our customers at the heart of all we do. The good relationships we develop with customers enable us to continually increase the quality of the essential service we provide. Customers’ feedback on our software and input into how it is used inspires our development and the growth of our business.

But it’s not just customers who are driving BuildingLink forward. BuildingLink is a Building Management Software (BMS) leader thanks to the hard work and collaboration of our team members too. By ensuring we create a great atmosphere for people to work together, we’re able to attract some of the best talent available. Tash Kinbacher, our newest team member, joins us today to chat about BuildingLink and what it’s like being a valued member of our team.

: Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to chat with us Tash, can you tell us a little about your role at BuildingLink?

Thanks! I’m the newest member of BuildingLink’s Training and Customer Services team. I joined back in March and I take care of clients, training and supporting them with BuildingLink’s building management software.

: What attracted you to the Training and Customer Service Representative role with BuildingLink?

Initially, it was the challenge of a new sector. I come from a pharmacy and training background, so, working with BuildingLink and learning about the software and property sector has been a new adventure. Taking my career in a different direction has been very rewarding and the ability to work from home is a definite bonus!

: Can you tell us a little bit about your life before BuildingLink and how it supports your work today?

Sure, my first job was checkout assistant with Franklin’s supermarket. After completing my business studies at university, I worked as a retail manager for quite a few years.

The retail management side of my experience has been a great help with training clients and supporting them with BuildingLink’s software. My studies have been invaluable for helping me grasp the other aspects of BuildingLink and how the software works.

: Tell us a bit about working with BuildingLink.

A typical day has me answering emails, phone calls, and taking clients through training on various elements of the BuildingLink software. I also liaise closely with Louise, my manager, to unravel any tricky issues that arise.

BuildingLink has a really friendly team environment, I know my colleagues have got my back and will support me to do my best. The clients are great to work with too. I never expected such high praise from customers!

One client who I’ve helped multiple times wrote the loveliest email commending me on my accuracy, quality, and time efficiency. Customer feedback like that really makes your day. It makes you want to keep providing outstanding service to other clients too.

: So, what makes Tash tick, who do you look up to and what are your hobbies?

I really admire Elon Musk because he has the ability to get people excited about things they never thought were possible.

As for hobbies, when I’m not working you’ll find me either curled up with a good book or baking sweets, dancing, or walking my new puppy.
