Images increase engagement in all kinds of messaging, from social media adverts to giant billboards on the freeway. Announcements and news with images have more punch and stay with people for longer.
Even if all the words aren’t read, an image conveys the message when chosen well. Whether you need to advise residents of a shut-off to water or simply want to invite them to a community event, images can speak volumes.
The new announcement module is easy to use. Within minutes you’ll be able to whip up engaging messages that get seen, read and remembered. So, how is it done?
How to use BuildingLink’s new announcement module
The new announcement module comes with customized templates to start creating communications quickly. You’ll be able to communicate faster, with less effort.
Simply choose the template that suits your announcement best to get started. You can use the default image or upload one of your own. If you already have a PDF flyer or image file, this can be used too.
Chose to edit the background to replace the default image with one of your own. If the default image works for your message, all you need to do is add the words.
After perfecting your message and checking for typos, it’s time to distribute your message to residents. Distribution methods include announcement boards, public displays, the resident’s app, resident’s site or sending via email.
Of course, if you’re interrupted in the midst of your creative flow, you can always save the draft and get back to it at a more convenient time.
Other announcement module functions
Not all announcements need to be made straight away. Events take time to plan, maintenance works can sometimes be scheduled months in advance and periodic reminders only confuse when sent at the wrong time. The new announcement module allows messages to be created, saved and scheduled to send at the appropriate time. Just like the original announcement module that didn’t include images.
To avoid building an endless list of out-of-date announcements, unnecessary announcements can easily be deleted from the system. Keeping a shorter list of announcements makes for easier admin!
